Empowerment scheme: Yahaya Seriki disowns fraudulent website, urges public caution
Chairman of Kursi Investment Limited, Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki-Gambari has distanced himself from a purported N50,000 youth empowerment scheme circulating online, describing the publication as false and unauthorised.
The disassociation was contained in a statement issued by the Amba New Media Team, which said the attention of Amba House had been drawn to an online publication claiming that the politician was offering N50,000 cash assistance to youths through a website.
The team said Yahaya Seriki had no knowledge of, connection with or involvement in the purported empowerment scheme.
It described the publication as false and stressed that it did not represent any official announcement or initiative by the politician or his team.
The team consequently urged members of the public, particularly youths and supporters, to disregard the publication and avoid clicking on suspicious links or submitting their personal and financial information through the website.
“Amba House knows nothing about it, does not endorse it, and is in no way associated with the purported fund,” the statement said.
It added that all genuine empowerment programmes and official announcements by Yahaya Seriki would be communicated exclusively through his recognised and authorised media channels.
The clarification comes days after Yahaya Seriki announced a N1 billion empowerment programme for beneficiaries in Kwara State.
He made the announcement on Saturday, October 31, 2026, during the Yahaya Seriki Empowerment and Enterprise Colloquium in Ilorin, where he also disclosed that beneficiaries would begin receiving funds on Monday.
